A History Making Day!

Ever have one of those days where you pinch yourself and say that you can't believe what is happening? I experienced one of those days last Friday, when our good friends, Frankie the Walk 'n Roll Dog and her human, Barbara Techel, Sparkles and myself, visiting via skype to share fire safety with the children of Clarksville Primary School.

What amazes me about Barbara and Frankie, is that our goals are so parallel. They have been a true blessing and we will be joining forces on occasion to help share each others messages. Doesn't that just give you goosebumps?

On Friday, I was so thankful that Principal Steve Ziegler, Kathy Howell, and all of the children and teachers at Clarksville Primary School once again allowed us the opportunity to visit their school. And, what made this day so very special, is that they got to hear first hand, Frankie's story.

It was truly a day that I will never forget! Thank you Barbara and Frankie for coming into our lives!

This week has been a truly incredible week! Thanks to Facebook, Sparkles and I had the good fortune of meeting Frankie the Walk 'n Roll Dog and her human, Barbara Techel. The incredible thing is, Barbara and I have so much in common and share many of the same common goals and dreams, with the most important of that being an un-ending love for our dogs! Over the past few weeks, Barbara, Frankie, Sparkles and I have been working on a big project. The time has come when we can finally share some of the news! But, wait! There's more! Sparkles the Fire Safety Dog reviews "Poodle and Doodle" by Donna Shepherd

It was both and honor and a privilege to be asked by author Donna Shepherd to review her newest children's book, Poodle and Doodle, published by Guardian Angel Publishing. This with our first review, so Sparkles and I were very excited!

Here's a brief synopsis of the book: "Angel, a twelve-pound prissy poodle, is none too happy when Leah brings home Scruffy, a seventy-five pound clumsy Labradoodle. Why ever would Leah want another pet when she had the perfect dog already? Children will love Donna J. Shepherd's humorous rhymes. Keep a sharp lookout for hidden bones in the delightful illustrations by Jack Foster."

Here's a sneak peek at this delightful book. No bones about it, this book is "pawsitively" wonderful and one of the best children's books that we have read in a long time, paws down!
